Stonebriar Mall Shooting Tape Video, Active Shooter News Now.

-- A shooter killed eight individuals and injured seven others - - three basically - - in a taking shots at a Dallas-region shopping center prior to being lethally shot by a cop who turned out to be close by, specialists said Saturday.

Witnesses reported seeing children among the victims, but authorities did not immediately provide any details about them. A few observers at the Allen Premium Outlets said they likewise saw what had all the earmarks of being a cop and a shopping center safety officer oblivious on the ground.

A video from a dashboard camera that went viral online showed a gunman get out of a car outside the mall and start shooting at people on the sidewalk right away. As the vehicle that was recording the video drove away, more than three dozen different shots could be heard.

The Allen Police Department announced on Facebook that nine victims had been transported to medical facilities.

In a written statement, the Dallas-area hospital system Medical City Healthcare said it was treating eight people ranging in age from 5 to 61.

According to the department's Facebook post, at 3:36 p.m., an Allen police officer was in the area on an unrelated call when he heard gunshots.

"The threat was eliminated after the officer engaged the suspect. After that, he summoned emergency personnel. "The Allen Fire Department transported nine victims to local hospitals," the organization wrote in the Facebook post. There is no longer a threat that is active.

According to the White House, the administration had offered support to local officials and President Joe Biden had been informed of the shooting. The "unspeakable tragedy" was referred to by Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who has signed laws easing restrictions on firearms following previous mass shootings.
The mall was across the street from hundreds of shoppers from Saturday evening. Officials circled among them inquiring as to whether anybody had seen what occurred.
Fontayne Payton, 35, was at a H&M store when he heard the sound of discharges through his earphones.
He stated that employees dispersed the crowd in the store before leading the group into the fitting rooms and a back room that could be locked. Payton saw that the store had broken windows and a blood trail to the door when they were given the all-clear to leave.
When outside, Payton saw bodies shrouded in white towels, stooped over packs on the ground, he said.
He stated, "I hope it wasn't kids, but it looked like kids."
Farther away, he saw the body of a heavy man wearing all dark. He expected it was the shooter, Payton said, in light of the fact that the body wasn't concealed.

According to Tarakram Nunna, a 25-year-old, and Ramakrishna Mullapudi, a 26-year-old, they observed what appeared to be three individuals lying motionless on the ground, one of whom appeared to be a police officer and the other to be a security guard at a mall.

Another customer, Sharkie Mouli, 24, said he concealed in a Banana Republic store during the shooting. He saw what appeared to be an unconscious police officer lying outside the store next to another unconscious person.
Videos posted to social media showed people fleeing through a parking lot while gunshots could be heard.
An entrance to the mall was being blocked by more than 30 flashing police cruisers, and there were multiple ambulances on the scene.
A news station's live aerial broadcast showed armored trucks and other law enforcement vehicles outside the vast outdoor mall.
Ambulances from a few adjoining urban communities answered the scene. The United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives' Dallas office also responded.
Around 105,000 people live in Allen, a suburb about 25 miles north of downtown Dallas.
