Nikki Catsouras Car Crash Death Photos & Videos Leaks

LADERA RANCH – A Ladera Ranch family that was afflicted by grisly accident photos of their daughter on the Internet has settled a lawsuit against the California Highway Patrol for leaking images that went viral worldwide, ending a 412-year court battle that rewrote state law.

Fran Clader, a spokesperson for the CHP, stated that the agency agreed to pay the family of Nicole "Nikki" Catsouras $2.375 million on Friday after a judge instructed the parties to speak ahead of a March jury trial.

Lesli and Christos Catsouras' emotionally charged legal battle for their daughter, Nicole "Nikki" Catsouras, is ended by the agreement.

After a crash on Oct. 31, 2006, in which the 18-year-old was nearly decapitated, Nikki's horrifyingly disfigured remains are permanently displayed on hundreds of websites.

Lesli and Christos Catsouras claim that they and their three surviving daughters have had to endure a never-ending nightmare because they are aware that a mouse click can unintentionally display horrifying images of Nikki on their computer screens. This is on top of the grief they feel as a result of losing the eldest of their four daughters.

"The family was made up for the close to home agony and experiencing related with the arrival of the photographs," Catsouras family lawyer Keith Bremer said. " The CHP brought a lot of money to the table in an effort to settle this case and eliminate the possibility of a huge verdict.

Clader stated in a statement: The Catsouras family has been through a lot, and no amount of money can fix it. We have arrived at a goal with the family to save significant expenses of proceeded with suit and a jury preliminary. It is our expectation that with this legitimate issue settled, the Catsouras family can get some conclusion."

HIGH SPEED CRASH

On Halloween 2006, Nikki was killed when she drove off in her father's Porsche. It was an elite presentation vehicle she had never determined, as indicated by her folks. After colliding with another vehicle on Lake Forest's 241 toll road while traveling over 100 mph, she lost control of the Porsche.
